The Attorney-General and Minister for Economy, Civil Service and Communications received the cheque from TOTAL Fiji Managing Director Kazi Rahman.

“We thank the Honorable Prime Minister and the government for their strong leadership demonstrated in this pandemic. We are extremely grateful to all front-line personnel managing this public health emergency and its related economic impact, including medical professionals, police and other government agencies,” said Rahman.

“We would like to contribute our support as a member of Fijian community, consistent with the support we have previously extended in other instances of national emergency such as Tropical Cyclone Harold, Tropical Cyclone Kini and Tropical Cyclone Winston.”

In addition to the company’s contribution, the employees of TOTAL Fiji have also stepped up to voluntarily contribute $14,631.52 from their own salaries to the COVID-19 Response Fund.

“We want to show our solidarity by participating in this worthy effort to support the government and our fellow Fijians in these unprecedented times,” Miller said.
