The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission is advising the public to be vigilant during this holiday period especially when taking advantage of sales.
The Commission’s Chief Executive Officer Joel Abraham says the festive season is often a time when unscrupulous traders and service providers take advantage of unsuspecting consumers.
He advises members of the public to always double check the fine print and details on deals that seem too good to be true.
The Commission will continue to conduct inspections where they will serve notices to traders and businesses who allegedly breach the F-CCC Act 2010.
