Technology is increasingly impacting the quality of education, says Minister for Education-Rosy Akbar.
Akbar was addressing the Council of Pacific Education triennial conference held in Nadi yesterday. .
Close to 20 affiliated teachers unions, researches and academics gathered from nine Pacific Island countries were part of the event.
She says Increasingly, as technology controls more of our lives, we need to look at the “human side” of education – values, skills, teamwork, innovation, out of the box thinking, ability to research.
School enrollments have grown annually since the Ministry of Education initiated free education from kindergarten to Year 13 in 2014.
