The Ministry of Education, Heritage and Arts wishes to thank its 13,263 teachers for their contribution in preparing the future of Fiji.
Teachers for generations have taken up the task to mould young minds to prepare them as critical resources to support all sectors of the economy.
This year, with the theme, “Teachers: Leading in crisis, reimaging the future” is a reflection of the academic challenges our teachers tackled this year due to the pandemic.
Teaching is a noble profession and this was evident when our teachers continued to provide education to the children of Fiji during this period.
Their dedication and commitment must be acknowledged and recognised by all Fijians.
The Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts Hon. Rosy Akbar says, “Our teachers are responsible for the early development of impressionable minds and have worked tirelessly to provide quality education to all Fijians.
I thank our teachers for their selfless contributions as educators, coaches, counsellors and disciplinarians for their meaningful, continuous labour of love and dedication in shaping the future of Fiji.
The Ministry wishes all its teachers a Happy Teacher’s Day.
