The Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts Hon. Rosy Akbar has called on parents to take extra care when taking their children out during this school break.
Speaking to parents and students of Nawai Secondary in #Nadi today, Minister Akbar highlighted that the number of drowning cases recorded in the past few weeks is alarming.
“There has been a number of drowning cases that have been highlighted recently. We need to be more responsible as parents.”
“Your children will always be children and we need to be extra careful now with the school break approaching.”
Minister Akbar also called on students to ensure that they are well-rested before the new school term begins.
