It’s going to be a football festival at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori this Sunday.
Tailevu Naitasiri Football Association will be hosting three exciting matches of the Vodafone National League with a ticket price of $5.
Association president Sandeep Roy says this is to give the football lovers something different after four months of break.
“We want to give back something to the football lovers as we know they all are excited to get football back in action so we are creating a football festival where three exciting matches will be played,” said Roy.
Roy says the fans will not regret paying five dollars to watch top football action.
“Well it’s not a Vodafone Premier League where big guns will feature but the action will be more comparable and exciting.”
The first match is at 10am where Rewa U19 Youth team will battle Tailevu Naitasiri U19 side in the Vodafone Youth League fixture which is not doubt a match to watch as both teams are eager to face each other after so many months.
In the second match, Northland Tailevu will face Nadroga at 1pm which is going to be a thriller as both teams will be gunning for win. This will be Nadroga’s first match in Vodafone Senior League (VSL) while Northland Tailevu played to a goal-less draw against Tailevu Naitasiri last Sunday.
In the final match at 3pm Tailevu Naitasiri will take on Tavua in yet another exciting VSL encounter. Tavua is currently on top of the points table after a 3-2 win against Rakiraki in the opener.
Roy urged fans to come in numbers and support Tailevu Naitasiri Football Association.
“We request fans to come out and have a day out with families, get together and entertain with very competitive matches,” said Roy
He added that Covid-19 protocols will be strictly followed and urges fans to adhere to all the restrictions.
