THIRTEEN swimming instructors will now be able to further boost their skills in what they do, after under-going a three-day “Training of Trainers” workshop at the Damodar City Aquatic Centre in Suva this week.
The workshop is under the Pacific Sports Partnership, an Australian funded programme that goes in line with their swimming chapter called “Let’s Swim” programme.
This workshop is aimed at educating Instructors to be informed on the processes and the techniques of how to teach swimming. From the early stages of Learn-to-swim to competitive swimming and squads, to survival and rescue skills.
The three-day programme is the first of two workshops that will be conducted over this two-week school holidays; the next one will be in Nadi next week.
