The Fijian capital of Suva now boasts a newly redeveloped Suva Civic centre following its completion of works and handing over to its municipality by the People’s Republic of China.

The Minister for Local Government, Housing, Community Development Infrastructure and Transport Parveen Bala Kumar received the latest infrastructure development on behalf of the Fijian government from Ambassador Qian Bo of the People’s Republic of China embassy in Fiji.

It was truly awesome occasion and personified the lasting relationship between China and Fiji.

The newly re-developed Suva Civic Centre combines traditional culture and art as well as modern features with world class audio-visual technology.

“Truly a landmark for Suva and Fiji. I welcome all Fijians to come and see and enjoy this new benchmark in municipal facilities and amenities in Fiji,” said Minister Kumar.
