Vinz Works Suva football side made a perfect start to its Vodafone Fiji FACT 2020 campaign after a convincing 4-1 victory over Active Construction Navua in its first group B match at the ANZ Stadium this afternoon.

Christopher Wasasala found the opener in the 12th minute before Alfred Ali hammered in the equalizer in the 27th minute from a Monit Chand free-kick.

Vodafone Premier League top goal scorer Sairusi Nalaubu brought Suva back into the lead in the 34th minute as the Capital City Boys led 2-1 at half time.

Navua tried to fight back into the second half, however, Nalaubu’s 74th minute strike and Meli Codro’s 76th minute finish gave Suva the all-important first win in the tournament.

Navua plays Lautoka at 12pm while Suva battles Esy Kool Nadi at 4pm when the tournament proper resumes on Wednesday, November 25, at Subrail Park in Labasa.
