A partnership between the Fiji national university and Drone services Fiji limited will now allow FNU Civil Engineering students to learn how to use drones to survey land.

This was made possible through an MOU that was signed this week.

Licensing, certification and related courses will be developed and delivered in-line with Civil Authority of Fiji, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia and Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand standards.

FNU Vice Chancellor- Professor Nigel Healey says that this new partnership will ensure Fiji’s construction industry is better prepared to take advantage of the new technology.

Drone Services Fiji – Managing Director- Richard Russell said the company was privileged to partner with FNU to introduce CAAF recognized licensing and certification training for drone users in Fiji.
