Growing interest have been shown from girls applying for the Inaugural Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics or Stem camp organized by the Graduate Women Fiji Organisation.

Group Vice -President Membership-Ronna Sekiguchi says the camp will be focused on giving girls an opportunity to ignite their interest in this four fields.

She says they  believe that by organizing such a project they are able to start the conversation witsh the participation of girls in the stem field and hope they can break barriers and stereotypes that girls can do anything.

Applications are still open and they are targeting girls from informal settlements and those living with Disability to apply. The  event will be from April 29 to May 2 will have about 30 Girls in attendance from the ages of 6-13 years.

The camp is funded by the Fiji Women”s Fund in partnership with the Australian Government.
