A Fire broke out yesterday afternoon at the Paradise Beverages factory in Walu Bay.

The fire is confirmed to start from the administration building and was spreading quickly.

Thick black smoke and flames were also seen coming from the top of a portion of the building.

More than three fire trucks were at the scene and firefighters from the Suva Fire Station – worked tirelessly to stop the blaze from spreading to the rest of the building.

Motorist were also being advised that Police officers will be redirecting traffic from the Walu Bay and Reservoir Road roundabouts.

The circumstance surrounding the cause of the fire was not clear at this stage.

It has also been confirmed that all the staff were safe.
