The High Commission of Fiji in London in partnership with the Physio Net UK has recently facilitated the shipment of the mobility and physio equipment to reach out to those living with spinal injuries in Fiji.

Fiji’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Jitoko Tikolevu joined Andrew Jones, the UK Minister responsible for Transport along with the members of the Physio Net as well the Fijian soldiers based in Catterick and Newcastle during the preparation and loading of the 13th shipment of a 40′ feet container which is expected to arrive in Fiji by next month.

This will be received by the Spinal Injury Association of Fiji.

In availing the much needed support towards this initiative, High Commissioner Tikolevu says that such collaboration is reflective of the unique people to people relationship between Fiji and UK.

Spinal Injury Association Fiji stated that the 13th consignment has a tentative value of around $Three hundred and fifteen thousand six hundred and seventy Fijian dollars.

Through this donation, the Spinal Injury Association Fiji says they will be able to intensify their reach out to assist the persons living with disabilities in the rural and maritime areas.
