A 27 year old security officer of Visako Circle in Nadera is in police custody after he was found with white substances believed to be methamphetamine.

The suspect was searched by an officer at a supermarket complex located along Khalsa Road after he was seen acting in a suspicious manner.

Meanwhile in Lautoka two people were arrested following a raid at a house in Rifle Range.

In custody are a 42 year old woman and a 19 year old man after they were found sachets and a plastic containing dried leaves all believed to be marijuana.

Meanwhile in the Northern Division, officers from Tukavesi Police Station arrested a 32 year old farmer following a raid at the Nabuloko Settlement, Cakaudrove.

Seized were more than 160 plants believed to be marijuana.

In Savusavu two arrests were made after the suspects were found with bullets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

A 35 year old market vendor was arrested in Savusavu Town by an officer on patrol.

The officers seized a white plastic containing bullets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

Also at the Oneva Bus Stop in Savusavu a team of officers while attending to a report, stopped a bus and arrested a 23 year old farmer of Nasinu village.

He was allegedly found in possession of a bag containing bullets of dried leaves also believed to be marijuana.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that all remain in custody as the seized substances and plants have been sent for analysis.
