Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Jone Usamate urged youths and innovators to share knowledge and ideas on renewable energy.
Speaking at the International Symposium On Renewable Energy, Environment And Climate Change 2019 in Nadi , Minister Usamate said a lot of work has been taking place to make the achievement of these targets a reality.
Usamate says while small nations contribute the least to the cause of climate change they are the most affected reason why Pacific Island leaders need to work together to get the world to take much more action than what it is currently doing.
The theme of the symposium is energy envionment and climate change.
The symposium will be looking into areas such as Renewable Energy, Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, Energy Efficiency, Modelling and Forecasting in Energy and Environment amongst others.
