Senior Non Commissioned Officers of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces conducted a wellness program at the Colo-i-Suva Forest Reserve last week.
The wellness program included exercises, more than six kilometers walk from the main road and ended at Colo-i-Suva Forest Reserve pool.
The Force Sergeant Major, Bale Ratu told SNCO’s present at the wellness program that is was important for them take time out of the office to attend such physical exercises.
The FSM also cautioned SNCO’s of the grave concern raised by the higher echelon of RFMF on disciplinary issues and the need to raise discipline to a higher level.
The Commander RFMF, Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto who joined the SNCO’s before the route march commenced informed SNCO’s of the importance of preserving forests.
The officers were asked whilst progressing through the route, to make sure they identified names of trees especially the preservation of an ancient tree of Fiji known as the Masi Ratu.
The SNCO’s wellness program culminated with Commander RFMF’s presentation at the Warrant Officer’s and Sergeant’s Mess on leadership.
