Minister for Economy- Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the second wave of the FNPF assistance will cost government 30 million dollars over the next two to three months.

This will also be subject to new applications government will have to fund, which will push the figure to an access of $30m.

The criteria of application still remains the same.

Government will from tomorrow announce initiatives to help those in small business.

These initiatives are designed with quick and transparent processes to give people access to livelihood opportunities.

In the micro enterprise sector, assistance will not only be directed to those already in the system with viable businesses but also to those that wish to come on board.

There will be a wider network within the organizations involved that are aimed at making processes far less bureaucratic.
