Around 35 seaweed farmers and Ministry of Fisheries officials are attending a weeklong training on seaweed production at the Coloisuva Forestry Training Centre.
Facilitated by Indonesian experts, the training will enable participants to learn more about seaweed product development as a basis for the food, beverage and cosmetic industry.
Participants will also do hands on training right through to learning about online marketing.
Indonesia has been very instrumental over the past years especially in training our local seaweed farmers and officers.
The training will end on Friday, 1st November.
