Everyone in the sporting community is feeling the impact of COVID-19.

Events and competitive seasons at all sport levels have been cancelled and training facilities are closed.

Amongst them affected is the Rugby Academy in Fiji, run by former Flying Fijians great Seremaia Bai.

Rugby Academy Fiji founder Seremaia Bai keeping busy during the COVID-19 lockdown and restrictions.

The Rugby Academy program has been closed which has had an impact on his players.

With operations affected, Bai says the decision of suspending all forms of rugby competition was in the best interest of preserving and protecting the health and safety of Fijians.

Bai is scrambling to develop contingency plans while on lock down.

But bigger plans have been outlined once things return to normal.

One of the first things in his mind is to widen the recruitment process as demands have been high.

Bai has more than 20 players from his Rugby Academy who are either studying or playing rugby abroad.
