Ratu Kadavulevu School will be making their debut in the ‘National Schools Swimming Championship’, this weekend.
Their swimmers have been training under the watchful eyes, of National Trainer – Caroline Puamau.
RKS is well known for their dominance in rugby and athletics, but this weekend they’ll be out to try to stamp their mark, in another sport.
Ratu Kadavulevu School swimmers will take a giant step by joining the National Schools Swimming Championship this weekend.
This is the first time that swimmers from RKS will be part of the two day championship.
Only 10 swimmers from RKS have made the cut and for sure they’ll be out to make a splash.
All these swimmers are form three students and only began their preparation for the championship a fortnight ago.
With no proper training facility in Tailevu and at the school premises – this 10 member team have been making the full use of the Suva’s Olympic pool for their preparation.
And the swimmers know it won’t be easy in the championship especially when you making your debut.
They are expecting much tougher competition.
The National Schools Swimming Championship starts on Friday at the Damodar Aquatic Centre.
