The Republic of Fiji Military Forces Servicewomen Inter Unit competition was held at the LICI court in Laucala Bay on Tuesday.

The competition was organised by a committee led by Captain Nanise Ralagi to select and prepare teams to represent RFMF for the Ratu Sukuna Bowl this year.

Chief guest Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto told participants that sports are a part of RFMF and it helps in the physical fitness side but more importantly it plays a big role in fostering team work and comradery which is very much needed in a military force.

He adds the reason RFMF value sports is to find those who excel in various sport they play and hopefully they can be representatives in the national level.

He stated that participants need to be a little more patriotic with the units they represent and RFMF as a whole. He stated that it is a wonderful mechanism for them to be able to do their job well. The Commander told them to prepare well for the Sukuna Bowl which is on the 22nd of November this year.

The Commander stated that RFMF has selected a rugby team to defend the 2019 Defence Force World Rugby that will be held in Japan this year.
