Fijians residing within the greater Nausori area will receive free eye clinics from next week.
A government statement has highlighted that the Pacific Eye Institute /Mobile Eye Clinic will be based at Wainibokasi Hospital from tomorrow.
The clinic will last till the 28th of February 2019 offering services such as refraction, diabetes retinopathy screening, and dispensing of spectacles.
People with eye complications are advised to visit the free clinic for immediate checkup and specialised treatment.
The Ministry of Health and Medical Services is advising residents in the Nausori area to take full advantage of this opportunity to access eye care and eye surgery.
The Ministry acknowledges the partnership with Fred Hollows Foundation through the Pacific Eye Institute for providing mobile eye services to remote locations.
