Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu has been appointed the new Opposition Leader.
Only one name was submitted for voting in parliament this morning.
SODELPA MP, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua nominated Ratu Naiqama’s name for the position this morning in parliament.
There were no other nominations.
Speaker, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau then declared Ratu Naiqama as the Leader of Opposition.
NFP was not involved in the process as SODELPA has a majority in Opposition and choose Rabuka’s replacement.
