Heavy Rain Warning and Flash Flood Alert Has Been Cancelled
The tough of low pressure which brought heavy rain over most parts of the country in the weekend now lies slow moving to the east of Fiji.
The trough is expected to gradually weaken and move away from the group from later today.
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms is expected over Lau and Lomaiviti group.
Rain easing to showers later today.
Meanwhile, a moist easterly wind flow prevails over the group bringing occasional showers over eastern Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the eastern parts and interior of Viti Levu.
Showers is expected to be heavy at times with few thunderstorms over these areas.
Fine weather to prevail elsewhere apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers and possible thunderstorms.
The Heavy Rain Warning previously in force for the eastern parts of Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands and Lau Group has been cancelled.
The Flash Flood Alert that was previously in force for low lying areas and areas adjacent to small streams of the eastern half of Vanua Levu and Taveuni has been cancelled.
