Government over the past years invested millions of dollars to help sporting organisations.

However, Opposition claims that two minor sports in the country have not received enough funds.

The Fijian Government provided a total of 3.1 million dollars for Team Fiji to prepare for the Tokyo Olympics and this was distributed to individual sporting bodies as preparation cost.

However, Opposition Member Lenora Qereqeretabua claims that two minor sports are not receiving enough funds.

Minister for Youth and Sports Praveen Bala says that all those that are registered with FASANOC do get funding from the governement grant.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama added that government has provided more than 7 million dollars to sports through the national budget.

Government stands ready to support Team Fiji that will represent our country in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
