Government officials, members of the disciplined forces and stakeholders from the private sector will be discussing issues and sharing information on the current Arms Trade Treaty convention.
Speaking at the two-day workshop held in Suva, Permanent Secretary for Defense and National Security Osea Cawaru said the purpose of the meeting was to raise awareness on the details of the Arms Trade Treaty and to enable national stakeholders to advise Government on Fiji’s status as far as ATT is concerned.

Cawaru urged stakeholders present at the workshop to work together to help protect Fiji’s borders from the transportation of harmful weapons.
