His Excellency, the President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote today received a courtesy call from the President of the Human Rights Council (HRC), H.E Ambassador Coly Seck.
The HRC had elected Ambassador Coly Seck, the Permanent Representative of Senegal to the United Nations Office in Geneva, to serve as its President for a one-year term that began on 1 January 2019.
Ambassador Seck was accompanied by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Fiji in Geneva, Ambassador Nazhat Shameem , the Regional Representative for the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Pacific, Dr Chitralekha Massey,Chief of the HRC Branch Eric Tistounet and Fatou Gaye Diagne.
As a token of appreciation, President Konrote presented a gift to Ambassador Seck.
