As COVID 19 is spreading rapidly all over the world, Fiji is no more an exception to this deadly virus. Post Fiji, traditionally specialised in postal and courier services is now looking at various options to maintain its revenue line and sustain the Post Fiji Business, said CEO Dr Anirudha Bansod.
He further deliberated that international mails, courier services, EMS, and stationery services are all impacted with a downward trend in revenue. This does not stop our presence in the market as we have continued to look at new areas of business and introduction of e-shop and call centre being the latest.
Post shop is in the process of transforming and enhancing the capability business of Post Fiji business. Post Fiji has identified 20 of the 58 post shops which will be selling the basic essential groceries. This will be in two channels, the first is the standard with 20 shops and in addition we will be utilising our e-shop online platform where customers can jump on- line and click the grocery section and select the products, and put them in cart. They will then arrange their payment and delivery methods. Our doorstep delivery will be facilitated by our EMS delivery services and we ensure an efficient and convenient service.
Post Fiji Customers will also have the ability to call our call centre on 132123 and our staff will assist them with their purchase and organise delivery on payment , and this with only a phone call. We are wanting to help affected customers by offering the essential and basic food items. Our channels have a start to end service provision available which will be launched in the coming week,
Purchasing stationery and grocery on line will be possible with the payment via Visa Debit cards or credit cards with a minimart concept with the basic items and then next step will see a more diversified product range.
Our EMS delivery will provide the services within the Suva lockdown area for now and likewise for Lautoka Ba and Nadi. In the other areas where movement is not restricted our vehicles, will be mobilised and services will be provided at a minimal fee.
