Two men were arrested in Nadera following a raid at a home in Nawanawa on Sunday where loose leaves believed to be marijuana and one clear plastic containing crystals believed to be methamphetamine were seized.

The seized substances have been sent for analysis as investigations continue.

Meanwhile a 35 year old farmer of Cawaira is in police custody after he was found with sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana at the Labasa Market yesterday.

In the Southern Division a 20 year old farmer of Mataso village in Kadavu is in police custody after he was arrested in Vunisea with parcels of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

In another arrest made in Kadavu, a 32year old farmer from Namalata is also in custody at the Vunisea Police Station after he was found with 7 parcels of dried leaves inside a plastic bag believed to be marijuana.

All the alleged suspects remain in custody.
