Since the Prime Minister’s announcement was made confirming Fiji’s first COVID-19 case and the subsequent measures put in place to contain and control the spread of the virus, Police officers have been working tirelessly within the Lautoka lockdown areas and throughout the five divisions to keep everyone safe, and ALL we ask is for everyone to play their part by simply LISTENING and ADHERING to advisories.

The Commissioner of Police said that members of the public should help the Fiji Police Force and they will also help members of the public.

Qiliho said that the general public should help the Fiji Police Force by avoiding the unnecessary gatherings of more than 20 people.

He added that the public should help us by reporting and stopping the movement of people from the clearly demarcated Lautoka lockdown areas.

You can help Police by providing information of suspected breaches via the National Police Command and Coordination Center on 9905 296 or any of our five Divisional Police Command Centers.

As a nation we can overcome COVID-19, a virus that has so far claimed tens and thousands of lives and infected more than half a million people worldwide, by SIMPLY listening and complying with all the advisories with regards to your health and wellbeing and your safety.

Let us work together to fight COVID-19.
