The Deputy Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu today received a timely donation of more than forty books from the United States Ambassador His Excellency Mr. Joseph Cella.

These books are now kept at the Fiji Police Academy Library in Nasova as referrals for officers who pursue studies on different policing aspects such as Investigation, Cyber Crime, Finance, Sociology, and especially on leadership roles.

DCP Tudravu while receiving the timely donation on behalf of the Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho acknowledged the support provided by the US government and said that the timely donation will be of great benefit to the officers.

“We welcomed the donation of books, most of the qualifying courses done in our Academy requires more research and these books can provide that study guide for the participants”

According to the US Ambassador the books were provided through the Asia Foundation’s Books for Asia program in cooperation with the United States Embassy.

Mr.Cella also took his time to commend the operation conducted by members of the organization concerning COVID- 19 pandemics.
