Nine police officers have been reminded on the need to uphold their oath to serve with integrity and professionalism at all times.

Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho issued the reminder to the outgoing United Nations Mission in South Sudan contingent who will be deployed for a year of duty.

Qiliho says the officers have been given this opportunity to serve on a U.N mission and this should not be taken lightly as life in the mission field can be difficult.

He urged the officers to not lose focus.

The contingent is led by Senior Superintendent of Police Malakai Kivarua and departs Fiji on Saturday.
