Minister for Economy and Civil Service Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum informed Parliament this morning that the payments made under the My-APA process are not pay increases but a reward to eligible civil servants for consistence performance.
Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the work of each individual is fully aligned with the work of the Ministry.
The performance managing framework which included the MyAPA was approved by the Public Civil Service Commission for implementation of the Civil Service Scheme in November 2017.
Moderation is a critical component of the performance management system.
Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum highlighted that it ensures that employees are rewarded for their contribution to the achievements of the Ministry.
