Too many issues of Mental Health and Depression have been for too long been a subject of “Taboo”.
These were the words of Fiji National University -Vice Chancellor-Professor Nigel Healey during today’s “World Mental Health Day”Celebration held in Suva.
Healey has emphasized once again the need for people to seek help from the relevant services provided in Fiji.
Youth Champs for Mental Health-Acting President, Maxine Tuwila said the group still strives to create safe spaces for young people.
The event was organized by FNU with this years universal theme: “Young People and Mental Health in a Changing world. The day is focused on mental health awareness and advocacy against social stigma.
It is celebrated worldwide on 10 October.
