The campaign for the 2018 General Elections on the 14th of November has started.
This was after President – Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote – issued the Writ of Elections yesterday.
The writ was issued to the Chairman of the Electoral Commission – Suresh Chandra.
Members of the Electoral Commission, the Speaker of Parliament, the Prime Minister, and other key stakeholders were present – when the writ was issued.
The President has announced key dates, for when nomination of candidates will be closed.
