A new library built to the tune of $60,000 for Kia District School will go a long way in assisting the students in their studies on the remote island.
Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama while opening the new library said nothing made him prouder than watching the transformative journey of the Fijian education system.
“Today, we have more children in school than ever, including record numbers of girls in classrooms nation-wide,” PM Bainimarama said.
“When you open a book, you open an entire world of knowledge. Every new word you learn, every new story you encounter and every new subject you explore expands your minds and makes you better and brighter young Fijians.”
This institution has a roll of 53 students from three villages on Kia Island.
