The President of the Republic of Fiji, Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote together with the Staff of the Office of the President yesterday commemorated and formally handed back Borron House to the care and custody of the Construction and Implementation Unit of the Ministry of Economy.

The ceremony was conducted at the State House Conservatory.

The handover date is special because on the 11th July, 2017 Borron House was blessed and dedicated with a house warming ceremony and the Office of the President officially acquired the property to be the State House until exactly three (3) years later it is handing Borron House back to the Construction and Implementation Unit (CIU).

President Konrote, in his remarks to those converged at the State House Conservatory for the handover, stated that Borron House is a National Heritage Property and we as a nation need to preserve its integrity and sanctity.
