Two New Zealand sailors are in the top three after two days racing at the Finn World Championships in Melbourne.

Josh Junior competing at the Rio Olympics in August.

Josh Junior leads the regatta after a fifth and a first place in the day’s two races.

He’s 14 points clear of Croatia’s Nenad Bugarin with New Zealand’s Andy Maloney third one point further back after a 19th and second place finish on day two.

The scoreboard will shuffle a little after the next race when the discard for each sailor’s worst result comes into play.

There are still eight races scheduled, including Saturday’s medal race.
