The National Fire Authority is conducting its investigations to determine the cause of the fire that completely destroyed the Vale ni Bose Complex this morning.
At 3.40 am, the Suva Fire Station was alerted of a fire at the iTaukei Trust Fund Complex and the fire crew immediately responded.
Upon arrival at the scene, the fire team saw the Vale Ni Bose building well involved in flames.
The fire team quickly used two deliveries of water from the 20 thousand litres Fire Tanker Truck and applied aggressive firefighting- preventing fire from spreading to the attached offices.
3 fire trucks from Suva and one from the Valelevu Fire Stations responded to the fire incident.
20 firefighters and 3 fire officers were at the scene to fight the fire this morning.
The North and South wings which sits as an arm of the complex were not affected.
These two wings, houses the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs, Ministry of Lands and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In 2009, the complex was officially opened by the late President and Tui Vuda Ratu Josefa Iloilovatu.
