New Zealand won 6-1 over Vodafone Fiji Under 23 side in the 2019 OFC Men’s Olympic Qualifier at Churchill Park yesterday.
The New Zealand side came on strong in the first half of the match, and Fiji’s defense was not enough to keep their opponents from scoring goals.
Head Coach – Marika Rodu says, that the team had a lot to learn from the match, against New Zealand
Rodu added that they can only ‘bridge the gap’, by exposing their players to other regions and other competitions.
Fiji will now have to fight for 3rd or 4th place, against Vanuatu this weekend.
