During one of these visits Premila Kumar handed over a brand new 9 ton Isuzu Compactor Truck to the Lami Town Council yesterday.
Whilst handing over the truck, the Minister said the new addition to the fleet, would certainly boost solid waste management services provided by the Council.
The Minister also added that the Fijian Government has been assisting Lami Town Council in improving its service delivery and will continue to do so.
The Minister further added that Government will continue to provide support and assistance to the Lami Town Council, with the belief that the Council will in turn provide even better services to its stakeholders.
The 9 ton Isuzu Compactor Truck, which is valued at $240,000, is the second compactor Truck for Lami Town Council.
