Between May 2019 and May 2020, the Land Transport Authority processed over 900,000 transactions in eight locations in the Central division alone.
Minister for Transport Faiyaz Koya revealed this while officially opening the new LTA office in Lami this morning.
The Lami office plays a vital role in processing customer transactions.
The Office processes more than 9,000 customer transactions per month, enhancing service delivery.
Some of the main services undertaken at the Lami Office include: Vehicle Registration; Driver License Application; Learners permit Application; Driver license Renewal; and Fine Payments.
Board Chairman of Land Transport Authority Vijay Maharaj said the office was a fundamental part of LTA’s customer service reform with the objective to provide Fijians better access to LTA services.
LTA CEO Samuel Simpson says as a customer service organisation, LTA officers have been reminded to remain professional at all times.
Businesses and residents in Walu Bay and the greater Lami area are urged to make use of the opportunity and capitalise on the services provided by LTA.
