The Fijian Judiciary welcomed another member to its ranks following the swearing in of a resident magistrate at the State House.
Resident Magistrate Seini Puamau was officially sworn in by His Excellency, the President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote.
Puamau holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Post-graduate Diploma in International Affairs and a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the University of the South Pacific.
She has worked as a prosecutor for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, a State Counsel for the past 13 years and currently holds a post as Principal Legal officer.
Chief Justice Anthony Gates, Chief Registrar Yohan Liyanage and Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili were also present at the swearing in ceremony.
