The Namatewale Bridge in Navosa will be part of the next Phase of Projects for the Fiji Roads Authority.
This was revealed by their Chief Executive Officer-Jonathan Moore.
This is after Villagers have been asking for Assistance for years as most cannot cross the Bridge when its flooded.
He says the plan is to change 20 crossings every year, its a big Project as this is not just one crossing there is probably 150-200 Crossings that needs to be changed out., so the plan may take several years.
Moore added they are looking to try and change 20 every year if they can, they’ve identified the ones that needs to be done and they’re prioritizing them based on their current conditions. FRA has confirmed they have already constructed 5 New Crossings in the West.
