A man alleged to have raped several women has been further remanded in custody.
Waisake Tulavu is facing four counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
On the first count of rape, it is alleged that on May 11th 2018, Tulavu allegedly raped a 22-year-old woman in Nasinu.
On the second count of rape, it is alleged that on the same day, Tulavu again performed a sexual act on the 22-year-old complainant without her consent.
On the third count of rape, on the same day, Tulavu allegedly performed a sexual act on the 22-year- old complainant without her consent – for the third time.
In the fourth count of rape, it is alleged that Tulavu on June 16, 2018, in Nasinu, Tulavu allegedly raped a 29-year-old woman.
For the charge of sexual assault, it is alleged that Tulavu on September 15, 2018, unlawfully and indecently assaulted a 32-year-old woman in Nasinu.
The case has been called for mention on the 3rd of August.
High Court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar has told court that Tuvalu will have his trial heard at the High Court in Suva from the 5th of October.
