Namosi rugby team has successfully defended the Farebrother Sullivan Trophy and remain unbeaten in the Skipper Cup competition.

In front of a huge crowd at the ANZ Stadium Namosi defeated challengers Lautoka 15 points to 9.

The Maroons led 6-5 in the first half.

Namosi scored the opening try through Kalaveti Ravouvou to lead 5 – nil but Lautoka kicked two penalties to take the lead.

Lautoka were also reduced to 14 men when Vatili Tuisabeto was given the marching orders for dangerous tackle.

Namosi took advantage of Lautoka’s 14 men as Ravouvou grabbed his second try in the match.

Namosi scored three tries in total while Lautoka kicked three penalties to put 9 points on the board.

Final score was Namosi 15 – Lautoka 9.
