The Province of Nadroga-Navosa is in the middle of an appeal drive to help those affected by Tropical Cyclone Harold in Vatulele.

Relief items, food supplies and dignity packs for women and girls have already been delivered.

Parliamentarian Inosi Kuridrani, the man behind the appeal says the support, both locally and abroad have been overwhelming.

These food items, supplies and dignity packs for women and girls have been delivered to families from the four villages in Vatulele.

Donations in cash and kind poured in following an appeal by parliamentarian Inosi Kuridrani.

Kuridrani decided to make a public appeal to help those affected by the cyclone amidst the COVID19 crisis.

A collection centre was immediately erected in Korolevu to receive contributions that had started to pour in.

However this did not stop the parliamentarian from taking an extra step with the support of his family.

Kuridrani adds, the reception from the ground has been great since help arrived.

And he says the online Go Fund Me drive is still open.

The island of Vatulele and it’s four villages were ravaged and severely affected by Tropical cyclone Harold.
