Two players have been ruled out of the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians squad due to injury.
This means Semi Kunatani who was one of the standby players will now be part of the team.
Kini Murimurivalu who was originally selected in the Flying Fijians has withdrawn from the Europe tour due to a knee injury.
Semi Kunitani has also joined the squad replacing Nemani Nagusa who was also ruled out late by his Club team.
Coach John McKee said they are really pleased with the camp and it was great to assemble in a familiar venue in Toulouse, where they have been a few times.
The national coach said if they keep doing the same thing with their game they will get left behind and the players get confidence from adding new components into the game plan ensuring there’s elements their competitors like Scotland haven’t seen before.
According to McKee the players have some good ideas that contribute to what they’re trying to achieve and it’s important they talk through how it feels on the field, during the game to get the best outcome as a group.
He said Dominiko Waqaniburotu has come into camp as the new Captain and is a highly respected member of the group meaning his transition into the role has been quite seamless.
McKee said it was exciting and pleasing to see new players coming in to the camp especially the way the senior and experienced players welcomed them into the group.
10 players are in camp at the moment which includes the 8 Drua players along with Henry Seniloli and Vereniki Goneva who were not required to go back to their Clubs.
McKee said they aree fortunate the Drua incorporated a lot of the Flying Fijian game style, so the players dont have to learn anything new, just refresh on a few aspects.
Meanwhile, the Flying Fijians will take on Scotland next Sunday.
