The Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation bid farewell to one of their longest serving employees Elani Yadraca who has worked in the civil service for over 32 years.
Yadraca started working at the ministry since January, 1988.
Permanent Secretary, Jennifer Poole said it was important for the ministry to recognize the excellent work that our frontline staff are providing.
Poole said working in the Ministry service requires dedication, humility and compassion and that is what he demonstrated in his service to the Fijian Government.
She adds employees like Yadraca are the epitome of professionalism
Yadraca joined the Cabinet Office in 1988 at the age of 23 years as a Driver.
He was later promoted to drive for five consecutive Ministers for Women.
