The Ministry of i-Taukei Affairs has reviewed it’s Memorandum Of Understanding with Westpac Banking Corporation – which was signed in 2016.

Through this MOU, Westpac provided financial services for villages in the 14 provinces, under the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs.

The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary – Naipote Katonitabua, commended the Westpac team for their financial journey with them.

Katonitabua mentioned their new strategic development plans and vision, to transform i- taukei families.

He says this includes the awareness and training of financial literacy services, and upskilling household’s financial opportunities that are available.

The Manager for Westpac Bank – Brett Hooker says, a lot of progress has been made as the result of their valuable partnership with the Ministry.

He adds they’re grateful to have been able to help traditional Fijian leaders, and micro entrepreneurs from the 14 provinces – to build sustainable and profitable futures.
